If you’re a skincare fan, you’ll probably have heard about the glass skin trend: We’ll tell you what it is and how to achieve that “glass” skin effect.

glass skin

The glass skin trend is everywhere! If you're up to date with the latest trends in beauty and skincare on social media, you're bound to have heard of it. The idea comes from a k-beauty (Korean beauty) viral trend and consists of obtaining fresh, luminous and blemish-free skin, as if it were made of glass.

You're sure to be asking yourself how to get it and which products to use...

“Perfect” skin is not always easy to achieve and many factors such as genetics, diet, stress, medication and hormonal factors come into play. What is true is that following a proper skin care routine will help you improve its texture, quality and tone.

Discover the 3-step glass skin routine

step 1: double cleansing

The first step in the routine (and probably the most important) is double cleansing: cleanse your skin. Not once, but twice. First, remove any impurities from your face with an oil-based cleanser such as hydracream fusion, which will help dissolve dirt and sebum. For the second cleanse, use a cleanser that is specific to your skin type. If you're not sure which to use, we recommend brightening foam, which is suitable for all skin types and will help refine the texture and enhance brightness with lactic and glyceric acids.

Remember to double cleanse morning and night. You'll see the results in no time!

step 2: exfoliation

Exfoliating the skin is essential to eliminate dead cells and improve the penetration of the products you apply afterwards. There are two main types of exfoliants: chemical and physical. Chemical exfoliants consist of acids and act alone, while physical exfoliants contain microparticles and need a gentle massage to help them work.

In this case, we'll choose a chemical exfoliant suitable for all skin types: the micro-exfoliating solution ultimate micropeel will help you remove dead cells, refine its texture and enhance its luminosity. Use a cotton pad to apply it to clean and dry skin and leave it to work for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with water.

Exfoliate your skin at least twice a week and you'll soon see results.

step 3: hydration

All skin needs hydration, even oily skins! Hydration is the last step in the glass skin routine, and it's the key to making your skin look plump and healthy.

Apply the tonic based on rose water and panthenol hydratonic mist to soften the skin and enhance the balance of its microbiota. Spritz 15-20 centimetres from the face and let it soak into the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is unbeatable. Did you know it's a molecule that can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water? Moisturise your skin daily with concentrated hyaluronic acid ha densimatrix. Apply it to clean, dry skin and let it sink in. You'll notice your skin plump up instantly!

Use this simple 3-step routine to keep your skin soft, bright and moisturised. Finally, remember that a wide-spectrum sun protection is and will always be your best ally against the signs of aging: apply every day before you leave the house.
